 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8.  It’s sad I have to leave, says Ruger as he exits Jonzing World record label


Afrobeat singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger has officially announced his exit from the Jonzing World record label.

Taking to his official Instagram page on Tuesday, February 6, the singer expressed gratitude to his former label boss, Dprince, for his belief in him and their journey together thus far.

Despite the regrettable circumstances surrounding his departure, Ruger affirmed his determination to take a significant leap forward in his career this year.

As he prepares to launch his own record label, Blown Boyent, Ruger sought divine strength to navigate this new chapter in his musical journey.

In his words: “Thank you Jonzing world and Dprince for believing in me and taking me this far. Wouldn’t have gotten here without you. Sadly, I have to leave but God knows best. I am taking a big bet on myself this year. I don’t know it all but I know God will see me through. It is time for @blownboyent.”
