 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED PRODUCERS OF ADULTERATED ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, RECOVERS COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad/VCRU have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages in the State. The suspects, identified as Ikechukwu Okeke 42 years old and Okeke Chukwuemeka 38 years old were arrested in the early hours of today 15th June 2026,  following credible intelligence received by the Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a syndicate specializing in the adulteration and counterfeiting of various alcoholic beverages. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and subsequently led operatives to their mini-factory. At the facility, Police operatives recovered several suspected adulterated alcoholic products, including Seaman’s Schnapps, McDowell’s, Eagle Schnapps, ...

KESHINRO PROMISES TO REDUCE RESPONSE TIME TO CRIME, VISITS LAGOS STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND.



"We appreciate the Lagos State Government for giving us operational logistics and gadgets through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund  coupled with what we receive from our National Headquarters in Abuja to do our job efficiently and effectively," Keshinro said.


The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has promised to reduce response time to crime in the state.


The Lagos State Commandant posited that the deployment of trained mobile personnel to points, spots and other  strategic locations in the state will enhance safety,  security and the greater peace verily yearned for by the government and the people. 


The Lagos State Commandant made the above known when he visited the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Security Trust Fund ( LSSTF ), Dr Abdulrazaq Balogun and other members of the board. He appreciated the organization for the enormous support it has rendered to the Corps before his assumption as the new sheriff.


The Executive Secretary, LSSTF also pledged his unalloyed support to ensure the fulfilment of the Corps' mandate in Lagos States. He called on the NSCDC to ensure its presence in all strategic points in the state so as so enhance the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure seamlessly especially, with the deployment of preventive mechanisms rather than reactive.


The NSCDC and LSSTF also seized the privilege to chat a new course in expanding collaboration between both agencies  and relevant stakeholders.
