  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna Closes Accident, Emergency Department


The Accident And Emergency Department of the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna has been closed for thorough disinfection process, following the loss of three members of staff and a patient, with some in critical condition in the last forty-eight hours.


The victims are suspected to have died from acute hemorrhagic fever, following the management of a patient with febrile illness, thought to have been the index patient with the disease ten days ago, who also died from the suspected disease condition.


In a circular addressed to various military health facilities by the acting corps commander medicals of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Okoigi says samples have been taken from suspected contacts, the deceased, and sent to the NCDC laboratory in Kano State for analysis.


The circular explains that strict disease infection prevention and control measures have been put in place, and an anti-viral injection has also commenced on other suspected cases, and those identified on contact tracing.


It adds that the hospital has also been directed to suspend accepting new cases from the public in the interim, while the situation is being contained.
