 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem has said that he would love to collaborate with Falz amongst other new-generation artists. 

The ‘Jaga Jaga’ crooner appeared in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where the co-host, Toun Cole, asked: “If he would love to work with any new generation artist.”

 The veteran singer said: “I plan to collaborate with any new generation Nigerian artist that is conscious enough. Yes, Falz.

“Falz is the only conscious artist in this new generation. Who else? If your music is not adding value, no matter how far it goes, I don’t give a damn, because the lifespan is three or four months. You will have to do another song to replace that one. But when the song is evergreen, it will always be evergreen.”
