 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 85-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPING A 3-YEAR-OLD BOY IN KANO. (PHOTO).

85-year-old man arrested for allegedly kidnapping 3-year-old boy in Kano. 


Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at Ungoggo Division have apprehended a kidnap suspect, Ibrahim Usman, at Yar'adua quarters, Rimin Kebe in the Ungoggo LG of the Kano state.

 

According to the NSCDC, the suspect allegedly took a three-year-old boy from the area and tried to conceal him at his friend's place on Hotoro bye-pass in Kano State.


“Suspecting foul play, his friend refused to keep the boy in his custody and decided to alert residents where the suspect lived at Rimin Kebe, who had been looking for the missing boy. This development led the suspect to run away, and he was later picked up by personnel of the corps, Ungoggo Division.” the NSCDC said.
