 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. HOUSTON FAMILY ATTACKS UBER DRIVER AFTER HE HITS AND KILLS 1-YEAR-OLD WHILE DROPPING FAMILY OFF. (PHOTO).

 Houston family attacks Uber driver after he hits and kills 1-year-old while dropping family off.


Harris County Sheriff's officials say that the Uber driver had just dropped the family off at an apartment complex in Houston. According to the surveillance video, the driver thought his path was clear and began to accelerate forward. Unfortunately the 1-year-old girl was walking alone in front of the car and due to her small size... he could not see her in front of his vehicle.


Sadly he struck her with the car and dragged her a short distance unfortunately killing the child. At this point in the video, you can see the family of the child begin to drag the driver from the car and physically assault him.


The child was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.


The sheriff's office referred to the incident as an unfortunate tragedy and we as parents or guardians need to be more alert, and hold their hands as we guide them away from a vehicle.


No charges have been filed in this incident.
