OKPEBHOLO WARNS RESIDENTS AGAINST RECRUITING CRIMINALS TO TERRORISE EDO. (PHOTO).

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has warned residents against recruiting criminals from outside the state to carry out kidnappings and other violent crimes, describing the trend as a major setback to ongoing efforts to improve security. The governor issued the warning on Wednesday while speaking at the 2026 Ministers’ Conference organised by the Edo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Benin City. Okpebholo expressed concern over the security situation in the state, alleging that some individuals were deliberately exaggerating incidents of crime and spreading false information on social media to discredit his administration. According to him, investigations by security agencies have uncovered the involvement of local collaborators who allegedly recruit armed gangs from outside Edo State to perpetrate kidnappings and other criminal activities. “Do you know one painful thing? TENNESSEE MOM ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS AND KILLS HER DAUGHTER WHILE DIGGING FOR KEYS IN HER PURSE. (PHOTO).

 Tennessee mom accidentally shoots and kills 13-year-old daughter while digging for keys in her purse. 


The incident took place at around 10 p.m. Saturday night, at the Edgehill apartments in Nashville. The victim's mother DeAnne Radley was digging for keys in her purse when a firearm she had in the purse discharged striking and killing her 13-year-old daughter, Dearria Radley.


The teen was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. 


DeAnne has stated "I didn't know my gun was loaded in my purse and it shot through my bag. Then I saw the blood. Oh God............. It's a nightmare". She went on to say "I want her remembered for her angel voice and her beautiful eyes." She said her daughter loved to spend time with her family and sing.


Police have not filed any charges however the situation remains under investigation by the Youth Service Division.
