 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Wizkid denounces being an afrobeats singer, hints on new album title


Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has denounced being an Afrobeat artist.

In a series of posts on his Instagram story, while announcing his new album, titled ‘Morayo’, Wizkid cautioned Nigerians against categorising him as an Afrobeat artist as he also warns bloggers against posting his new album.

Wizkid further read the riot acts as he informed those who fell in love with him during the Pakurumo era to refrain from downloading his new album.

For those who love Afrobeat, he also told them not to download his album.

He said: “Album done! See you soon b!tches! Lion richer than u niggas lol And pls abeg if u like Pakurumo Wizkid don’t download this new album. In fact, delete me from your playlist and your life! And if you like Afrobeat pls don’t download my album!
