Catholic Priests Not Like ‘Fake Bishops’, Atiku Blasts Presidency’s Attack On Onaiyekan Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the Presidency’s attack on the Catholic Church and John Cardinal Onaiyekan, accusing the President Bola Tinubu administration of growing intolerant of dissent and uncomfortable truths. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu on Sunday, Atiku said the Presidency chose intimidation and political attacks instead of reflecting on the substance of the cleric’s message. Catholic bishops had recently had an engagement with the president, where the latter defended his record and the independence of the electoral umpire. However, the cardinal in a television interview on Friday said the Catholic bishops told the president that the country is bleeding and the economy is not helping poor citizens.  Ruthless Arsenal inflict heaviest season defeat on Chelsea


Ruthless Arsenal inflicted the heaviest defeat on Chelsea this season at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday to hold on to top spot in the premier league.

The Gunners demolished Chelsea 5-0 in a five-star performance, converting five of their 10 shots on target.

Arsenal opened the scoring four minutes into the game. Declan Rice played a pass to the feet of Leandro Trossard, and he shot into the bottom left corner from inside the box.

Few minutes into the second half, Arsenal doubled their lead. Ben White fired the rebound into the bottom left corner after the ball broke to him in the box.

In the 57th minute, Martin Odegaard slipped a clever pass through to Kai Havertz, who moved inside the box and sent a measured shot beyond the keeper and into the roof of the net to make it 3-0.

In the 68th minute, Bukayo Saka passed the ball into the penalty area. Havertz collected it and quickly sent it into the bottom right corner via the post for the fourth goal.

Arsenal completed their humiliation of Chelsea five minutes later. Ben White showed good composure inside the box to fire a first-time shot into the top left corner to make it 5-0.
