 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Ex-naira mutilator Simi Gold consoles Bobrisky amid EFCC trial


Nollywood actress Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, aka Simi Gold, who was convicted of naira mutilation last year, has shown solidarity with her friend, Bobrisky, who is currently facing similar charges.

The actress was arrested in February 2023 after a video of her spraying and stepping on naira notes made the rounds online.

Following the verdict of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday, which found Bobrisky guilty of naira abuse, Simi Gold sympathised with her friend.

In a post on her Instagram page, she sent words of comfort, saying that Bobrisky would come out of the situation stronger.

She wrote: “Bobrisky, nothing do you, my friend. You are coming out of this with your head up.”

Sharing a picture of herself and Bobrisky, she added: “Sending you loads of love, my sweetheart Bobrisky.”
