  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  King Charles III to resume public duties next week after cancer treatment


The British monarch, King Charles III, will resume his public duties next week following a three-month break to focus on his treatment and recuperation.

A few months ago, the British monarch was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and has been receiving treatment.

However, Buckingham Palace on Friday said the monarch would be visiting a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday, the first of several public appearances he will make in the coming weeks.

According to the palace, one of his first major engagements will be to host a state visit by the emperor and empress of Japan in June.

The palace didn’t provide an update on the king’s treatment but said his medical team is “very encouraged by the progress made so far and remains positive about the king’s continued recovery.”

Charles continued his state duties, including reviewing government documents and meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, after his diagnosis was disclosed on February 5.

“As the first anniversary of the coronation approaches, their majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year,’’ the palace said in a statement.

Charles’ return will relieve pressure on other members of the royal family after the king’s absence, coupled with that of the Princess of Wales, also due to illness, highlighted the challenges faced by a slimmed-down monarchy.
