 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Report suspicious activities during Eid-El-Fitr, DSS urges Nigerians


The Department of State Services has urged Nigerians to report suspicious activities during the Eid-El-Fitr celebration.


The service had on March 4, 2024, urged citizens to be vigilant against public dangers, especially Improvised Explosive Devices, urging Nigerians to stay informed about potential threats and avoid crowded or suspicious areas.


However, in a statement on Tuesday, the Director of PR and Strategic Communications, DSS, Peter Afunanya, assured Nigerians that the service would work in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure the security of the citizens during the festive period.


The statement read, “Similarly, everyone is advised to be security conscious as well as report suspicious activities to security and law enforcement organisations.
