SCOTLAND'S HATE CRIME BILL IS NOW IN FORCE DESPITE CONCERNS OVER POLICE RESOURCES AND FREE SPEECH

Police chiefs have already spoken out against the bill as they worry people will use the powers incorrectly in a bid to silence rivals

The Scottish administration’s controversial new hate crime law is in effect as of today.

The nationalist politician faced a brutal grilling at the hands of Justin Welby on BBC Radio 4 where she struggled to answer questions on the new legislation which came into force today.
