"Seal her in a bag of rubbing alcohol and throw her in the trash." These words were written by the new girlfriend of the man that tried to take his wife Kait Boice's life.
We covered a story about Kait Boice, a woman from Westmont, Illinois who survived a homicide attempt by her husband. She told you her story in her own words. I'll share the original story in the comments.
Marco Evidente tried to take his wife's life in a dark parking lot last November. He showed 0 remorse. Police were able to catch him 7 minutes after the attempted homicide started. Marco was caught in the act. He had beaten, stabbed, and tried to poison Kait in those 7 minutes. He had a bag of huge trash bags, homemade chloroform, Daisy zip ties, weights, and written out directions to where he was going to dump her body. He left the couple's children at home for 3 hours while trying to take his children's mother's life.
The couple were separated at the time after Kait found videos of Marco sexually assaulting her while she was unconscious. Marco claims he had to take her life because of these "false allegations". To no one's surprise, he had court the next day about these sexual assault allegations.
His trial was Monday. He pleaded guilty to attempted homicide.
Kait will tell you in her own words what happened in the courtroom on Monday.
"I read my impact speech.
I got to see the knife he tried to slit my throat with. Spoiler alert: it was his every day knife he carried around with him.
They showed the body cam footage and the video of surveillance from my apartment, of him running up and slamming me down.
They showed the judge the full sexual assault/r*** videos. (These videos are one major reason he tried to take Kait's life.)
His lawyer tried to downplay what Marco did to me in the videos.
His mother couldn't watch the videos of what her son did to me.
We saw text messages between Marco and his girlfriend, Jackie Zelasko. She tells him to, "seal me in a bag of rubbing alcohol and throw me in the trash."
To which he replied, "Ugh I wish".
This woman was around my children, and I reached out to her when Marco tried to murder me to make sure she was okay. She is also a mother.
Marco got to make a statement and fake cry, which I walked out of in the beginning because I really don't give a sh** what he has to say.
He had been searching how to make chloroform and what side effects acetone and bleach mixed with alcohol will do. He's been searching for this since September 2023.
You don't show up somewhere with weights and 6 foot trash bags and daisy chained zip ties. This wasn't some mental break. This wasn't some act of passion. All he has cared about was making me suffer and doing everything in his power to not pay child support, but turned around and said that was all I wanted. He was telling people I was bad to my children.
He deserves everything and more that is coming to him.
His sentencing is in May. The state is asking for 25 years. His lawyer is asking for 10.
He wrote a letter to the judge from jail. His family's 200 signature petition was also presented in court."
