 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A 17-year-old boy taking refuge in an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Benue state has scored 301 in the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).


The boy, Aondona Terver, lives with his parents at the IDP camp at Daudu, Guma local government council of Benue state.


In the result released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the 17-year-old Aondona with registration number 202440051584IF, scored 60 in English, 73 in Biology, 84 in Physics and Chemistry also 84 thus totaling 301.


The young man whose parents were displaced after their village in Guma was attacked and burnt down by terrorists now lives on the compassion of individuals and the occasional support of the Benue state government.


His parents said it is from the proceeds of charity at the IDP camp that Aondona who is a Science student attends the ECWA secondary school at North Bank in Makurdi.


The student said that his dream is to become a medical doctor so he chose medicine as his preferred course of study.
