 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Father of seven arrested for allegedly abusing eight girls, one boy


A 53-year-old father of seven children, Abdullahi Imman  has been arrested for allegedly s3xually abusing eight girls and one boy between 6 to 11 years at Tayi village area in Minna, Niger state. 

Imman, who is popularly called Abba in the community, said that he lured the children into his provisions shop with biscuits and sweets.

According to him, he normally puts his fingers into their private parts until he is satisfied and promised them more sweets and biscuits if they return again.

Imman said he cannot help himself from involving in the act despite being married with seven children.

“I have been into this act since March, 2024. I cannot stop myself even though I am married with seven children. It is an act I cannot stop even though I have tried,” he confessed. 

The suspect was arrested after reports to the Police at the GRA Police Division. 

The suspect was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Minna for further investigation while the children were taken to hospital for medical examination.
