 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.  Sarah Martins cries out over hardships confronting 'faithful' wives


Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has taken to social media to address the challenges faithful women face.

Through an Instagram post, Sarah stated the struggles many women endure within their marriages.

She further noted how some men can sleep with 20 different women in a day, yet find it difficult to touch their wives.

Sarah reminded them that these are women they once wooed and won their hearts and then proceeded to make them their better half.

Questioning what changed, she urged couples to pause and rekindle their friendship, opining that when loves fails, friendship comes in.

Sarah further stated how some married women are currently addicted to self toys because that’s what their husbands have subjected them to.

Directing her message to men, Sarah informed them that their wives need their attention and care too and they should stop lying about being lonely in their marriage to their side chicks.

Sarah told them to touch their wives, and remind them that they are still the men they fell in love with.

“Some women are going through a lot in their marriages…

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
