 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. SOMEONE MAILED A CALIFORNIA MAN A RATTLESNAKE, HE SAYS IT WAS ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE. (PHOTO).

 Someone mailed a California man a rattlesnake , he says it was attempted homicide.


60-year-old Elijah Bowles called 911 last week after picking up his mail from the post office. As Mr. Bowles drove away with a friend in the car he asked her if she would open a package marked fragile he had received.

When the friend opened the box she immediately cried out in alarm and threw the box. She exclaimed, "There's a snake in there!" 


Bowles quickly pulled over and removed the box from the car. He then found a stick and gingerly opened the box to reveal a 2 foot long Rattlesnake.  Whoever had sent the lethal package had placed cotton balls inside of the box in an attempt to keep the rattles quiet. 


Besides being marked fragile it also had a return address to a home in Palm Coast, Florida. However the package was mailed from Hayward, California. 

Animal control officers identified the snake as a Western Rattlesnake. The incident is being investigated by U.S Postal Inspection Unit as well as the San Bernadino Sheriff's office.
