 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  WORKERS DAY: ANAMBRA POLICE SALUTE WORKERS ON LABOR DAY: APPRECIATE WORKERS FOR THEIR PERSEVERANCE IN PRESERVING NATIONAL UNITY

As the world celebrates workers on International Workers' Day,  the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye has congratulated workers in the state for their hard work and invaluable efforts in the state.


The Anambra State Police Command, through its Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, recognized workers for their diligence, loyalty, and especially their resilience in maintaining peace and rejecting illegal sit-at-home days and other actions that might jeopardize the state's harmony. This statement was made in a press release on Tuesday, April 30, highlighting Commissioner Adeoye's appreciation for workers' invaluable contributions to public safety and unity.


CP Adeoye urged the workers and residents to continue to uphold the law, remain vigilant, and offer support to the Police and other security agencies as they collaborate and synergize to combat all types of crime and guarantee public safety in Anambra State. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts in preserving peace and security in the state.
