 IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OF 6TH DECEMBER, 2025 IMO POLICE COMMAND INTENSIFY CRACKDOWN ON KIDNAPPING, VIOLENT CRIMES ALONG OWERRI–ABA EXPRESSWAY As part of ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes along the Owerri–Aba Expressway, a high-powered team led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, inspected suspected kidnappers hideouts in Umuhu Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala following credible intelligence on Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, currently at large. The delegation included the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Chioma Egu; Chief Pathologist, Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibeaja Okechukwu; members of the Ngor Okpala Vigilante Group led by Mr. Henry Ikpe; and the Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon.  Orumba South LGA Receives New Corps Members, Charges them on competence

The Transition Committee Chairman, Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr Shedrack Azubuike has congratulated

the corps members posted to the local council for their successful completion of their university education and NYSC orientation


The chairman who was represented by the Head of Education and Social Development Department,  Miss Joy Ihefu thanked God for granting them journey mercies to Anambra State and finally Orumba South LGA.


He explained that Orumba South which is made up of 15 communities is a peace loving, hospitable that relates with Corps members as relation,friends and siblings.


The chairman emphasized that with a conducive environment in place, the corps members are expected to excel in their national service to the local government, thereby achieving the objectives of the NYSC program.


He implored them to desist from all acts capable of tarnishing the image of their respective states such as vandalism, destruction of lives and properties, armed robbery, sexual immoralities drugs peddling and addiction among other vices.


 Director of the Community Development Unit of Orumba South, Mrs Ngozi Oraeki praised the council's kindness and hospitality towards corps members, saying that the council provided transportation for 51 new corps members (2024 Batch B) and refreshments, bringing relief and excitement to the new arrivals after their challenging time at the orientation camp. 


She encouraged the corps members to serve selflessly and relentlessly during their service year, demonstrating diligence, competence, and commitment in their assigned roles. She assured them of the local government's continued support and assistance throughout their stay.
