 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. CRIME: Apprehension of 21-Year-Old Orchestrating Fake Robbery to Sell Tricycle, Set to Face Court


On August 20, 2024, the police operatives at 'C' Police Divisional headquarters took action and successfully arrested four individuals involved in a criminal conspiracy and attempted misappropriation of a tricycle.


The tricycle, with registration number BAU 401 WB and body number 3566, was discovered in suspicious circumstances at Madina Quarters and reported to the 'C' Divisional Police Headquarters. Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer promptly led a team to the scene and apprehended four young men who were found attempting to dismantle and steal the tricycle.


Upon further investigation, it was uncovered that the prime suspect, Muwafaqa Auwal, 21 years old, had conspired to fake a robbery of the tricycle. He had been entrusted with the tricycle by a neighbour for commercial use within the metropolitan area, but instead of honouring the agreement, he planned to stage a robbery and sell the tricycle.


The Bauchi State Police Command is committed to upholding law and order in the state and urges the public to collaborate with the command by reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
