 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Missing Couple Found Safe After Hijacking Horror


Free State Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, is pleased to report that Pastor Phillip Mashudu (55) and his wife, Mrs. Elsie Matlou Mashudu (54), who were reported missing, have been safely located in Everton, Gauteng. 


The couple, who left Bethlehem on Friday, 23 August 2024, to attend a church conference in Parys, were feared missing until they were found on the evening of Monday, 27 August 2024. A preliminary investigation revealed that they were hijacked and kidnapped on the road between Heibron and Sasolburg.


Four suspects, aged between 31 and 41, have been arrested and are expected to appear in the Sasolburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 29 August 2024, facing charges of hijacking and kidnapping.
