 Anambra to go after houses without proper drainage in order to combat Erosion  Worried by the rising menace of gully erosion, the Anambra State Government has threatened to enforce regulations requiring residents to provide proper drainage for storm water from their homes. The State Executive Council (ANSEC), which announced the proposed enforcement, lamented that erosion remains an existential challenge in Anambra, blaming the situation on careless actions by some communities and lapses by regulatory bodies in enforcing environmental laws. Briefing journalists after the weekly executive council meeting, the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, said it had been observed that some residents channel storm water from their homes directly onto roads, where it accumulates and worsens the erosion crisis across the state. “ANSEC has resolved to step up enforcement to compel residents to properly channel and manage storm water from their houses.  Separatist Fighters Allegedly Burn Two Taxis in Bamenda


Separatist fighters allegedly set two taxis on fire in Bamenda last evening, August  23. 


Like they indicated months ago after a similar act in the same city, taxi drivers are now required to paint their vehicles blue and white, the colours of Ambazonia. 


Taxi drivers who comply with these demands are accused of terrorism by the authorities, and those who reject the separatist’s order are abducted, killed or have their vehicles set on fire.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
