 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  SCREENING EXAMINATION FOR ENTRY INTO GOVERNMENT SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES HOLDS TOMORROW


The screening examination for admission into seven Government Science and Technical Colleges, as well as one Government Technical and Vocational College for the 2024/2025 academic session, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Government Technical College, Idi-Aba, starting at 8:00 AM. The programme is a 3-year course leading to the award of the National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC).


In a statement signed by the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, it was noted that the examination is open to candidates who have completed their registration through the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda (OGSERA).


Candidates are required to have either a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council Senior School Certificate Examination (NECOSSCE), or equivalent qualifications.


The statement also instructed candidates to bring the printout of their registration forms, photocopies of their credentials, and writing materials for the smooth conduct of the exercise. It assured that all necessary arrangements have been made for a successful screening.


Candidates are urged to behave properly during the examination, with best wishes for a successful outcome.
