 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  There has been a lot of sacrifice ” – Toke Makinwa speaks on her journey as an actor


Toke Makinwa shared some candid thoughts about her growth as an actress, starting from her highs and lows, down to where she is at the moment in her career.


She started by talking about the number of movies she’s worked on this year so far, and here’s what she wrote


5 movies with yours truly, the second half of the year and I’m fully in my Acting Bag.

Thankful for growth, grateful for versatile

Going forward, Toke Makinwa spoke about all the things she has missed out on, just to focus on her acting career, and she wrote;


“There has been a lot of sacrifice too. I’ve missed out on so much fun things happening but there’ll always be time to turn up some more. Once I commit to something, I chase it with everything.”
