  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR RAPING A TEENAGER AT XIKUNDU VILLAGE OUTSIDE MALAMULELE IN LIMPOPO. (PHOTO).

 It is reported that Hlamulo Nicolas Mabasa (34) was found guilty of raping a 19-year-old girl in the bushes of Xikundu Xifaxani and Xikundu villages in 2020.


The victim was at the main road waiting for transport to her home when the accused known to her emerged. He advised her to move from where she was waiting because it was not a safe spot.


She then moved and walked with him. While on the way to a ‘safer spot,’ the accused suddenly demanded to have sexual intercourse with her. The victim refused. Subsequently, the accused assaulted her, produced a knife, and threatened to kill her. Thereafter, he raped her.


She managed to escape and ran to the road where she got transport from another man who offered her a place to sleep. The following day, she went home, and the incident was reported to the police.


The case was investigated by Sergeant Sydwell Hasani Chauke of Giyani Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), and the suspect was arrested few days following thorough investigations.
