 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. SOUTH AFRICAN EX-ANC SPOKESPERSON AND SIX OTHERS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED CORRUPTION, FRAUD, THEFT ETC. (PHOTO).

 Pule Mabe, a former African National Congress (ANC) spokesperson, and six other suspects have been arrested for alleged corruption involving fraud, theft, and contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Prevention of Organized Crime Act (POCA). 


The suspects, including high-ranking officials, company directors, and a former Member of Parliament, handed themselves over to the Hawks' Serious Commercial Crime Investigation unit in Gauteng. 


The Specialised Investigating Unit (SIU) forensic report revealed that the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded a R27 million tender to Enviro-Mobi in March 2017. However, the Chief Director and Chief Financial Officer allegedly processed and paid R25 million to Enviro-Mobi for 200 motorized three-wheelers, which remained in the service provider's possession.


They are expected back in court on 25 March 2025.
