Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search.  Court Grants N1bn Bail to 109 Foreign Nationals Arrested for Cybercrime


On Friday, the Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail totaling N1 billion to 109 foreign nationals detained over alleged involvement in major cybercrime and hacking activities threatening the nation’s security.


Justice Ekerete Akpan, ruling on the bail application filed by defense counsel James Onoja, SAN, noted that the prosecution, led by A.A. Egwu, did not oppose the request. The judge stipulated that each defendant must provide five sureties and submit a N1 billion bond.


Each surety must own property in the Abuja area and present two recent passport-sized photographs to the court. In addition, the defendants must surrender their original passports to the court's deputy registrar, and the sureties are also required to submit their passports.
