 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. THE COORDINATING MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE, PROD. MUHAMMAD ALI PATE, HAS LAUNCHED THE NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY STRATEGIC PLAN (2024-2028) TO CREATE SAFER AND HEALTHIER WORKPLACES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. (PHOTO).

 The Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has launched the National Occupational Health and Safety Strategic Plan (2024-2028) to create safer and healthier workplaces across the country. 


A statement by the Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Alaba Balogun explained that the plan provides clear guidance for the Ministry and its partners to prevent and manage workplace diseases, injuries, and accidents, improving employee health and productivity. 


Prof Pate highlighted the growing need for this initiative, especially as the government encourages non-oil sectors like mining and agriculture, which present unique safety risks.


To ensure the success of the plan, the Minister represented by Permanent Secretary Daju Kachollom, called for collaboration from all Ministries, departments and agencies of government, partners, and organizations to raise N1.34 billion needed over the next five years.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
