 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  US election: We’ll have a great World Cup in 2026 – FIFA President tells Trump


FIFA President Gianni Infantino has told US President-elect Donald Trump that football fans will have a great World Cup in 2026.

Infantino said this while congratulating Trump ahead of his return as US President.

Trump was declared the winner of the US presidential election on Wednesday after he defeated Democrat rival Kamala Harris.

“Congratulations Mr President!’ Infantino wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

“We will have a great FIFA World Cup and a great FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America! Football Unites the World!”

The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
