CJN Bans Lawyers, Court Officials to Stop Using ‘Barrister’ as Official Title The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has directed lawyers, court officials and other legal personnel to discontinue the use of “Barrister” as a prefix to their names in all official engagements at the Supreme Court. The directive was contained in a memorandum dated July 13, 2026, and signed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Kabir Akanbi. The circular, which was addressed to litigation staff, legal practitioners, court registrars and lawyers, stated that the directive took immediate effect and was aimed at upholding professional standards within the apex court.  Davido receives royal welcome as he storms India

Award-winning Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is currently in India


The singer is buzzing the internet with clips of him arriving at the country in grand style. As expected, the Afrobeat King was given a royal welcome and treated like a King as he arrived in the country.


In videos posted to his Instagram stories, Davido was captured arriving at a city in India, Udaipur, in a ship as he was treated to a royal welcome. A clip captioned the moment, flowers were thrown at him to welcome him, and Davido happily turned around, enjoying the moment.
