Malian army withdraws from key Tessalit military camp: sources Mali’s army and its Russian mercenary allies have surrendered Camp Tessalit, a strategic military post in the north, multiple sources told the AFP news agency on Friday. An official from the Tuareg-led separatist group claimed soldiers and mercenaries at the camp had "surrendered", following a fierce fight over the weekend. Simultaneous attacks in Mali by militants linked to Al Qaeda and separatist Tuareg rebels on April 25 showed how fighters from different groups with different goals were able to strike at the heart of the West African country's military government. Gunfire and explosions were reported in the capital Bamako and around a large military base outside the capital, as well as Gao and central areas, as gunfire continuing in the northern city of Kidal. DELHI POLICE REVEALED ON SUNDAY THAT BOMB THREAT EMAILS SENT TO AT LEAST THREE SCHOOLS IN DELHI WERE SENT BY THEIR OWN STUDENTS. (PHOTO).

Delhi Police revealed on Sunday that bomb threat emails sent to at least three schools in Delhi were sent by their own students.

Initial investigations by the special cell found that two siblings from one school sent the threats to delay their exams. During counselling, they admitted they got the idea from earlier incidents of bomb threats in schools. The students were later allowed to go home after their parents were warned.

In a similar case, two other schools in Rohini and Paschim Vihar also received threatening emails from their own students. According to officials, these students admitted they were not prepared for their exams and wanted them postponed. After being identified, the students were counselled and let off with warnings.

The incidents are part of a larger trend of bomb threat emails disrupting school activities in Delhi. Earlier in the week, emails threatening explosions and demanding $100,000 were sent to several schools. Between December 9 and December 14, over 80 schools received similar emails, with some threats mentioning “bomb vests.” These threats caused panic among students and staff, disrupting classes and exams.

Since May, Delhi has seen over 50 bomb threat emails targeting schools, hospitals, airports, and airlines. While most threats have turned out to be hoaxes, police are working to trace the sources of the emails and prevent further incidents. Authorities have urged parents and schools to educate students on the seriousness of such actions.
