 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.  Skitmaker Taaooma shares first glimpse as she unveils daughter’s name


Famous Nigerian skit maker and content creator Mariam Apaokagi Greene, professionally known as Taaooma, has shared her daughter’s first glimpse and name.


There have been reports of the skit maker expecting her first child after the recent skits on her page showed signs of pregnancy.


There was Jubilation in her comment section, where her fans speculated about a baby


Unknown to many, Taaoma welcomed her daughter on the 7th of November, 2024. The beautiful baby is christened Amani Korede Makeda Greene.


The video Taooma shared on Instagram captured her cuddling her baby girl and showering her with kisses.


A few days ago, Wofai Fada and her husband, Taiwo Cole, welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
