 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. Governor Sule Dissolves Cabinet, Removes SSG 


GOVERNMENT OF NASARAWA STATE PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT His Excellency,

 Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State has approved the dissolution of the Nasarawa State Executive Council with effect from Friday, 3rd January, 2025. Also affected is the relieve of the appointment of Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State. 2 By this development, all outgoing Commissioners are to handover the affairs of their Ministries and all Government property in their possession to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective Ministries. The Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State is to handover to the Permanent Secretary Cabinet Affairs and Special Services. 3 His Excellency, the Governor expresses his appreciation and gratitude to the outgoing Commissioners and the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State for the services rendered to the Government and people of Nasarawa State and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
