 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOVERNOR UZODIMMA PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE EDUCATIONIST SIR CHRISTOPHER NWAPA 


Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has honored the late Sir Christopher Ijoma Nwapa, describing him as a "source of pride and inspiration" during his funeral at the Cathedral Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Oguta.


The Governor praised Sir Nwapa's impactful life, urging Christian faithful to emulate his legacy of education, entrepreneurship, and humility. He emphasized the inevitability of death, encouraging all to lead lives worth remembering.


“C-Fine was one of the brightest minds this region produced, excelling in education, agriculture, and service to humanity,” Uzodimma stated, calling him "an example of what life should be."


The Bishop of Anglican Diocese on the Lake, Rt. Rev. Chijioke Otti, highlighted five principles for impactful living, noting Sir Nwapa embodied them all.


Dignitaries present included Governors Alex Otti and Peter Obi, former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, bank CEOs, traditional rulers, and other prominent figures. Sir Nwapa was remembered as a rare and remarkable individual whose legacy endures.
