 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  NWFL: Subomi Ogundele Signs for Remo Stars Ladies


Remo Stars Ladies have announced the signing of Subomi Ogundele ahead of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season.


Ogundele joins the Ikenne-based team from a non-league club in Lagos.


The talented player was named Most Valuable Player at the Nigeria University Games last year, where she played a pivotal role in helping the University of Lagos secure third place in the competition.


Ogundele is anticipated to be a crucial asset to Remo Stars Ladies in their quest for success this season.


The club is set to compete in Group A, alongside Heartland Queens, Abia Angels, Dannaz Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons, Ekiti Queens, Confluence Queens, and defending champions Edo Queens.
