 Tinubu Promises Nigeria's Support to Ghana's President John Mahama President Bola Tinubu has pledged Nigeria's unwavering support to Ghana’s President John Mahama, emphasizing commitment to driving change and economic growth for the people of Ghana.  Speaking at Mahama’s inauguration in Accra, Tinubu, who chairs the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, called for African nations to focus on building robust economies. He expressed pride in Ghana’s achievements and reaffirmed the shared history and unity between Nigeria and Ghana. Tinubu also praised Mahama’s vision and dedication to his nation, assuring him of Nigeria's support in achieving success and progress for both countries.

 One Dead, Four Injured in Farmers-Herders Clash in Jigawa


A violent clash between farmers and herders in Gululu, Miga Local Government Area of Jigawa State, left one person dead and four injured.  


The conflict erupted after peasant farmers accused herders of breaking into a provision store. Following footprints to a Fulani settlement, the farmers were reportedly met with arrows, escalating tensions.  


Village head Muhammad Sarkin-Dori confirmed the injuries and reported that a missing farmer, Dauda Kafinta, was later found dead with arrow wounds. Five injured individuals were referred to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.  


State Assembly Speaker Haruna Aliyu visited the area, urging calm and ordering police reinforcements. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
