  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. ABIA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN CRIES FOUL OVER CIRCULATING FAKE RESIGNATION LETTER. (PHOTO).

The Executive Chairman of Umunnochi Local Government Area in Abia State, Sunday Afurobi, has debunked rumors of his resignation, calling the circulating letter a "fake material" forged by his detractors.¹


The rumor mill had been churning out claims that Afurobi had quit his job, with a purported resignation letter addressed to Governor Alex Otti making the rounds. However, Afurobi has come out to set the record straight, assuring the people of Umunnochi that he remains in charge of the council.


The forged resignation letter, which bore Afurobi's fake signature, had caused confusion among local government staff and supporters. But Afurobi has urged everyone to remain calm, ignore the fake news, and continue supporting Governor Otti.


Afurobi revealed that his lawyers and security agencies are currently investigating the matter, reviewing the "disturbing situation" to get to the bottom of the fake resignation letter.
