 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. DELTA STATE GOV. OBOREVWORI PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO EDWIN CLARK'S FAMILY. (PHOTOS).


 

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, paid a condolence visit to the family of late elder statesman Edwin Clark in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area. The governor expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, the Kiagbodo community, and the entire Ijaw nation.


Oborevwori assured the family of the state government's full support throughout the burial arrangements and pledged assistance to ensure Clark receives a dignified burial. He described Clark as a household name in Nigeria, who lived a fulfilled life with robust integrity and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta and the country at large.


The governor acknowledged Clark's indelible mark on the country's history, citing his boldness, courage, and sharp memories. Oborevwori recalled his last conversation with Clark, who commended his performance as governor.


Mrs. Rebecca Okorodudu, Clark's eldest child, thanked the governor for his condolence visit and assured him of their continued support for his administration's policies and programs. The governor signed the condolence register, and dignitaries paid tribute to Clark, highlighting his contributions and expressing their deep sense of loss.
