FELA DUROTOYE REVEALS HE WORKED FOR TINUBU'S GOVT WITHOUT PAY, TURNED DOWN N5BN DEAL. (PHOTO).

Fela Durotoye, a renowned leadership coach and former presidential candidate, has shared a shocking experience where he rejected a N5 billion fraudulent government deal. The proposal came with immense pressure from an official claiming to be a pastor, who assured Durotoye that he had already been selected for a lucrative training contract.

Durotoye's team had calculated a fair price of N1.3 billion for the training program, which aimed to train people in all 774 local government areas of Nigeria within eight weeks. However, just three days later, a call from the presidency changed everything. Durotoye was asked to submit an invoice for N5 billion, which raised serious ethical concerns.

The official involved dismissed Durotoye's concerns, claiming that he wasn't ripping off Nigeria and that he deserved compensation for his service. Durotoye boldly refused the offer and even switched off his phone as pressure mounted. Interestingly, three months later, news broke that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arrested some presidency officials for stealing N426 million from an ethical leadership training fund.

Durotoye also shared his experience serving under the Tinubu administration as Special Assistant to the President. He revealed that he didn't collect an official car, house, or salary for serving, which made it difficult for him to get his letter out due to concerns that his refusal would make it hard to pin him to corruption.

Throughout his ordeal, Durotoye emphasized the importance of strong moral values. "Only your values can help you turn down corrupt tendencies," he warned. He also expressed his commitment to integrity, stating that when we have the right values, there won't be corruption in the land.
