 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Ikorodu Court Remands 28-Year-Old Man for Alleged Theft


A 28-year-old man, Toyin Damilola, was arraigned before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court on Friday for allegedly misappropriating N1.5 million intended for purchasing fish and chicken feed.


Facing two counts of theft, Damilola pleaded not guilty when the charges were read.


Prosecutor Insp. Adegeshin Famuyiwa informed the court that the defendant allegedly diverted N577,720 meant for 24 bags of fish feed and N954,930 for 50 bags of chicken feed for personal use. The funds belonged to the complainant, Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Lawal. Additionally, Damilola was accused of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.


The prosecutor stated that the alleged offenses violated Sections 168(D) and 287(7) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.


Magistrate A.O. Ogbe granted the defendant bail set at N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 27 for mention.
