 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  VIRAL VIDEO OF ALLEGED POLICE BRUTALITY IN ENUGU: PUBLIC ADVISED TO DISREGARD THE RECIRCULATED 5-YEAR-OLD VIDEO MEANT TO MISLEAD AND CAUSE MISCHIEF


The Enugu State Police Command urges the public to disregard a viral video depicting policemen allegedly assaulting a young man in Enugu for refusing to allow a phone search. A thorough review of the video, which is currently recirculated by one "De-Oracle", revealed that the incident occurred over five years ago, on January 4, 2020. The police officers involved were immediately identified, tried, and appropriately sanctioned following the disciplinary procedures of the Nigeria Police Force.


It was also established that the video was deliberately recycled and recirculated to mislead the public and create unnecessary and unwarranted tension between the police and law-abiding citizens.


The Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), warns those behind this malicious act to desist forthwith. He further reassures the public of the Command's unwavering commitment to professionalism, respect for human rights, and the rule of law.
