 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. ABIA STATE TO REBUILD ARIARIA POLICE STATION, DESTROYED DURING END SARS PROTEST. (PHOTO).

The Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Abia State, Iheanyi Igboanulam, has announced that resources are being mobilized to rebuild the Ariaria Police Station, which was destroyed during the End SARS protest. Igboanulam made this known during the monthly security meeting of the PCRC Abia State, held at the Police Officers Mess in Umuahia.


In addition to rebuilding the Ariaria Police Station, Igboanulam revealed that community consultations have commenced to revive the Umuopara Police Division. He expressed gratitude to PCRC members for their support, emphasizing that collective efforts are crucial for achieving success. "Nothing will be achieved without your individual and collective support," Igboanulam said.


The PCRC Chairman also urged members to prepare for the forthcoming 41st anniversary of the committee. Furthermore, he announced that the PCRC has been formally registered as a cooperative society, enabling divisions to access grants and benefits from the government and donor agencies.


Chairman Emeritus Ambassador Emma Nwosu and Patron of PCRC Abayi Division Ambassador Ngozi Ukaegbu commended the state leadership of PCRC for their outstanding work and pledged continued support to elevate the committee. The monthly security meeting featured security reports from Eziama, Central Police Station Umuahia, and Isuikwuato Divisions.
