FIFA Introduces $60 World Cup Tickets Amid Fan Backlash FIFA has launched a new $60 “Supporter Entry Tier” for the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico, covering all 104 matches. The tickets, aimed at fans of qualified teams, make up 10% of each national federation’s allotment. The move follows widespread criticism over high prices, with fan groups and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer calling the measure insufficient. FIFA said refunds will waive administrative fees for knockout-stage tickets if a team is eliminated early. The first ticket draw will be held on January 13, 2026.

FUBARA SENDS MESSAGE TO AMAEWHULE: NO POWER LASTS FOREVER. (PHOTO).

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has sounded a cautionary note to politicians, reminding them that "no power is permanent" amid the ongoing crisis involving the Rivers State House of Assembly. Speaking at the commissioning of the Bori Zonal Hospital in Khana Local Government Area, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the interests of the people.

Regarding the legislative impasse, Fubara explained that he made several attempts to reach out to the Speaker and other members regarding the budget presentation, in compliance with the Supreme Court's ruling. Despite his efforts, including sending WhatsApp messages and making direct contact, he was denied access to the Assembly complex.

Fubara described the situation as "unfortunate" but expressed his willingness to return to the Assembly when the members may have received further instruction. He emphasized that the misuse of power ultimately leads to destruction and reaffirmed his decision to act with restraint.

The governor also encouraged his supporters, particularly the youths, to remain steadfast, assuring them that they have not lost the battle. He expressed optimism that, in time, God would grant them victory.

The newly commissioned Bori Zonal Hospital is a significant milestone in the state's healthcare development. The project, which had been abandoned for over eight years, was completed within nine months by indigenous contractors. Governor Fubara announced that his administration is remodeling zonal hospitals across the state to ease congestion in teaching hospitals, describing the project as a "true reflection of governance."
