A Nigerian man, Bayo Salami, has made shocking allegations against his family, claiming they detained him at an Islamic cleric's residence for 23 days over a property dispute.
In a viral video, Salami recounted his ordeal, stating that he returned to Nigeria after 23 years abroad to claim the property he had been sending money for. However, upon his arrival, his family allegedly detained him under the pretense of prayers.
Salami, who is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and owns a business called Kuvuki Empire, claimed that he was locked up and mistreated during his detention. He expressed his distress and frustration in the video, sparking widespread concern and outrage online.
