TWO TEXAS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS HAVE BEEN FIRED AFTER HEARTBREAKING VIDEO SURFACES OF THEM ABUSING A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD. (PHOTO).

Two Texas special education teachers have been fired after heartbreaking video surfaces of them abusing a special needs child.

The video was captured by an assistant teacher on February 18th at Millsap Independent School District. In the video you can see 10-year-old Alex Cornelius, a non verbal autistic child, being slapped by his special education teacher. Alex then walks across the room to the assistant teacher who yells at him before hitting him multiple times with an object. The assistant then throws the object at the child.

Alex's mother, Carissa, says she did not find out about the incident until 21 days after the abuse happened.

Millsap Independent School District said the two teachers are no longer employed at the district. They utilized independent investigators which also led to the principal and assistant principal being put on administrative leave.

Carrisa shared that Alex use to love to go to school but is now afraid to go back. She says she is pursuing legal action in hopes of raising awareness.

The Parker County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.

Our thoughts are with Alex and his family at this time.
