 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  632 Suspects Arrested in Limpopo During Operation Shanela (Kukula)


Police in Limpopo arrested 632 suspects during Operation Shanela (Kukula), held from 14 to 20 April 2025. The operation aimed to keep communities safe during the Easter holidays.


Different law enforcement units, including SAPS, SANDF, Home Affairs, and traffic officers, took part.


During the operation: 34 illegal liquor outlets were closed, 23 roadblocks were held, 570 premises and 265 farms were searched, 213 second-hand shops were inspected and 2 firearms were recovered.


Arrests included:


188 illegal immigrants, 37 for drunk driving, 4 for illegal firearms, 2 for murder, 4 for rape, 30 for illegal liquor sales, 3 for drug dealing and 15 for dangerous weapons

72 for assault GBH.


The suspects are already appearing in courts across the province.
