  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and ex-Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal met with former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State on Friday. The visit was revealed by Imran Wakili, a supporter of El-Rufai, in a post on X, where he highlighted El-Rufai’s continued respect for Buhari.


The meeting coincided with reports of Atiku, El-Rufai, and Tambuwal engaging opposition leaders in Kaduna State as part of a broader political strategy. Atiku recently announced the formation of a coalition, including Labour Party’s Peter Obi, aimed at challenging President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the 2027 general elections. The coalition, unveiled during a press conference by the Concerned Leaders and Political Stakeholders in Nigeria, seeks to unite opposition forces to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC).


In a related development, Adewale Adebayo, a former Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, disclosed that Atiku and Obi are in discussions to join the SDP. Adebayo expressed confidence that, if aligned with the party’s principles, they could lead the SDP to defeat Tinubu and retire the APC in 2027. 


Meanwhile, Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), claimed El-Rufai is positioned as Atiku’s placeholder in the SDP should the PDP deny Atiku its presidential ticket.
