 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Nigerian Police Officer In Kaduna Threatens Reprisal Attack On Southerners In North Over Edo Killings


A police officer from Kaduna State, Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, has threatening reprisal attacks on southerners living in northern Nigeria.


Dan-Taki's comment came in response to the killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State.


Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Dan-Taki, through a Facebook post, swore in the name of God, declaring that northerners in the north must take action against southerners. 


He further warned that southerners had forgotten that their families were living in the north, vowing that "within one week, the southerners shall see the result."


The post quickly attracted widespread condemnation from social media users, many of whom called out Dan-Taki for inflaming ethnic tensions, especially given his public position as a police officer. 


Many expressed concern that his actions could further exacerbate divisions, with some highlighting his police uniform in the controversial post.


According to Dan-Taki, "I swear to Almighty God, we must do something for you guys, have you forgotten all your brothers that are leaving here in the North make my word, after one week you shall see the result."


In response to the criticism, he locked his page, limiting users' ability to view his posts and comments.


Meanwhilw, on Wednesday, Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), responded on X to the situation. The police spokesman stated, "Noted for necessary action. Thanks."


A man from northern Nigeria issued a 48-hour ultimatum to President Bola Tinubu and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, demanding swift action to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing of 16 Northerners in Uromi, Edo State.
