 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement.  Trump Grants TikTok 75-Day Extension to Avoid U.S. Ban Amid Ongoing Sale Negotiations


President Donald Trump granted TikTok a 75-day extension to comply with a law requiring the app to either sell its U.S. operations or face a ban. TikTok, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, has over 170 million U.S. users. Trump expressed hopes of working with both China and TikTok to finalize a deal, which remains pending and is subject to Chinese law approval.


This extension is part of efforts by the Trump administration to broker a deal for American ownership of TikTok's U.S. operations. Critics of a ban argue it infringes on free speech, while concerns about Chinese government influence fuel calls for the app's sale.
